For longer routes I really enjoying climbing on the Mammut Revelation (9.2mm x 70m). The rope is so light for a dynamic single (55 g/m) and passes through gear so easily that you barely notice it. It holds a good number of falls too (6 UIAA) so it is very sturdy for it's diameter/weight - as you would expect from any Mammut rope - and I like that Mammut offers it in their "Duodess" bicolor pattern to help you with rope management/rappelling. Though obviously not suitable for lots of top-roping this rope is perfect for long, alpiney rock routes. A great all around rope
I'm a big fan of Edelrid ropes in general (though they are often hard to find in the US) and I have really been enjoying climbing on the Edelrid Skyline. I use it mainly for sport climbing but it is certainly very useful for trad as well. It has a good feel and holds a lot of falls for its weight
I actually think the bluewater line is fairly good especially for a climber who just recently got into the sport and is looking for a cord that is going to last a while.
Maxim/NERopes have always been a good purchase. Plus typically you can find better deals on these ropes then other brands (including at JustRopes).
I agree with both John and Paul that both the BlueWater and Maxim ropes are good all around ropes. Some of the other brands (Beal, Mammut) tend to have a wider variety of higher end ropes for advanced climbers. Edelweiss (justropes does not have) is also a very good brand as is Petzl.
Thanks for the great deal on BlueWater
